Description
The Eufemia Coffee Cup is a bone-china espresso cup from Seletti's Hybrid collection, designed by CTRLZAK Studio — named after the Italo Calvino city where travellers trade not goods but stories of desire. Two decorative worlds divide the surface along a single graphic seam: chinoiserie florals and willow-pattern motifs from Eastern export porcelain on one half, baroque cartouches and heraldic ornament from European fine china on the other. Neither side concedes.
On a dinner plate, the East-West collision has room to unfold across a wide canvas. On a cup, it wraps entirely around an object held in both hands — the seam is not decorative trim, it is the collection's whole thesis compressed into three dimensions.
Dubai's table already bridges qahwa ceremony and Italian espresso culture. The Eufemia makes that crossing deliberate, graphic, and worth collecting. Pair it alongside any other Hybrid named piece — no two need to match, and that is entirely the point.
