Leopardo Pillar Lamp - Stories of Italy

Stories of Italy's Leopardo Pillar Lamp is a Murano glass sculpture designed to anchor a room. The Pillar base — a clean, upright column — is mouth-blown in Murano and dressed in the Macchia su Macchia technique, a process that builds depth through layered colour: warm ambers, rich browns, and animal-print speckle that shift across the surface with each change of light.

Macchia su Macchia means "spot on spot." The glassmaker lays colour onto colour, creating a glossy leopard-patterned surface that is both maximalist in feeling and precise in craft. Each base emerges from Murano with its own exact distribution of tone — no two Leopardo lamps are identical. Brass hardware and a champagne-coloured fabric cord complete the palette.

A removable cotton shade sits cleanly above, letting the sculptural base remain the focus. In Dubai's design-forward interiors, this lamp earns its place at a console in an entrance hall, on a sideboard in a formal living room, or anchoring a low shelf in a contemporary villa.
