Agroha existed long before Europe had a concept of a dinner service. The Hybrid New Era Soup Plate carries the name of this ancient north-Indian trading city — and that provenance is exactly CTRLZAK's point. On one side of the dividing line, chinoiserie florals and scrolling Eastern motifs in deep cobalt and saturated colour; on the other, European heraldic ornament in ochre and baroque cartouche. The seam between them — that bold, chromatic bar — is not a compromise. It is the argument.
A soup plate is the most intimate form in a table service. It holds the meal close. Here, Seletti's fine bone china gives the motifs a translucent depth that flat printing cannot replicate — each pattern reads as if it were painted from within the surface.
