Sophie Bianco Lamp - Charlottina

Sophie Bianco is Charlottina Design's take on the softer end of its modular lamp system, the family built around a curve rather than a hard edge. Where its siblings stack sphere against cube, Sophie lets a resin drop interrupt the geometry, and this particular composition builds the argument in white, grey and wine.

Read the column from the floor up: a square base cast in solid white resin, a large sphere in the same solid white sitting low and heavy, then a resin drop in smoke-grey Grigio fumé that tapers the line before a medium faceted cube in deep wine-toned Vinaccio catches the eye just under the shade. A white cotton shade closes the stack, softening whatever light reaches it. Every module was cast and threaded by hand in a Roman family workshop, and the arrangement can be reconfigured whenever the room asks for something different.

Switched off, it holds a console or a reception corner on silhouette alone — the kind of piece a majlis notices before anyone reaches for the switch. Switched on, the transparent grey drop carries light through itself while the solid white and wine modules hold their shape against it, a considered choice for a new home styling project or a design-led gift.
