The base is worked in the Macchia su Macchia technique: vivid orange and deep blue fused directly into the glass in a glossy, speckled composition that shifts with light and angle. Every piece is mouth-blown by artisans in Murano, which means no two bases carry exactly the same pattern.

Macchia su Macchia is not paint — it's colour built into the glass itself. The result is a surface that reads bold from across a room and intricate up close.
