Bowl One opens Seletti's Kintsugi collection — a fine porcelain bowl whose white surface is traced with 24kt gold seams that chart a fault-line entirely its own. Among the numbered pieces in the series, no two gold-vein maps are shared.
The idea is borrowed directly from Japanese kintsugi — the practice of repairing broken ceramics with gold-dusted lacquer, so the seam itself becomes the most precious part of the object. Seletti skips the breakage entirely: each piece is fired whole, then traced with imagined cracks in real gold. The question it places at the table is a quiet one: what if every line of wear were made visible in precious metal?
In Dubai's collector-grade interiors, Bowl One holds its own as both everyday vessel and singular object — at home on a curated breakfast table, a marble console, or a majlis shelf where design is taken seriously.
It is the first of three numbered bowls, each carrying a distinct gold-vein topology. Complete the trio with Kintsugi Bowl Two and Three: a deliberately non-matching set that embodies the philosophy fully.
