Named for one of Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities, the Eusapia Dinner Plate arrives as a deliberate collision in fine bone china — Eastern chinoiserie florals meeting European baroque heraldry across a graphic colour seam that refuses to resolve. Designed by CTRLZAK Studio for Seletti, it is the Hybrid collection at full scale.
In Calvino's tale, Eusapia builds an exact underground replica of itself until neither city can claim to be the original. The plate enacts the same game: two decorative worlds at full saturation, facing each other across a hard dividing line, with neither yielding. On a dining table, it functions less as crockery and more as a cultural argument.
A dinner plate this visually charged anchors a long villa table as readily as it commands a design-forward restaurant cover in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Pair it with a second Hybrid plate from a different city — the deliberate mismatch is entirely the point of the collection.
