Decorative glazed ceramic finished for display rather than food service, so it should be handled as a considered object, not a working piece. The glaze is the vulnerable surface: it chips on knocks and drops, scratches under abrasive cleaners, and marks or fades with prolonged standing water or direct sun.

Care: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe with a barely damp cloth and mild soap only when needed, drying immediately afterwards. When used as a vase, change the water regularly and rinse before refilling to prevent mineral marks and staining.

Avoid: Knocks and drops, which chip the glaze; abrasive cleaners and pads, which scratch it; the dishwasher, where mechanical washing can dull the surface; and prolonged standing water or direct sunlight, which mark and fade the colour.

Suitable for: Display on a console, shelf, sideboard or mantel, alone or holding fresh or dried arrangements.
