Product Details
Play - Backgammon from Printworks brings one of history's most enduring games into a clean, contemporary Swedish design frame — packaged like a book, built for real play. Part of the brand's accessible Play range, it's the entry point into Printworks' world of analog togetherness: beautifully made, immediately approachable.
The foldable board is the quiet practical detail that changes everything. It tucks under an arm, sits in a weekend bag, lands on a yacht deck or a terrace table with equal ease. But when it's not traveling, it earns its place on display — a coffee table object that signals something about the people who live there.
In Dubai's long social evenings, backgammon isn't a novelty — it's a tradition. This version makes that tradition look the part: refined enough for a design-conscious home, relaxed enough to pull out without ceremony when guests arrive.
Thoughtful as a housewarming, birthday, or just-because gift for anyone who still believes the best conversations happen over a board.

Care & Use
Mixed decorative materials combine elements such as cloth, paper, board, wood, glass, metal or resin, each reacting differently to moisture and heat. Keep dry and handle gently, since multi-material joins are a structural weak point.
Care: Dust with a soft, dry cloth; wipe with a barely damp cloth only when needed, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. Keep handling to a minimum.
Avoid: Damp, standing water and rough handling; abrasive tools, bleach, alcohol and strong solvents; direct sun and temperature extremes, which can warp, fade or weaken different components at different rates.
Suitable for: Display on consoles, shelves, sideboards or coffee tables.
More from This Collection
Printworks
Printworks was founded in Stockholm in 2017 by two former advertising creatives as a coffee-table concept: beautifully designed analogue objects answering digital fatigue. Chess and backgammon in book-box formats, cloth-bound photo albums, cocktail and wine tool kits, colour pencils and scented candles all share the same Scandinavian warmth.
