Product Details
The Art of Chess, Mirror is Printworks' most dramatic piece — a coffee table chess set where the board itself becomes a mirror. A layer of mirrored acrylic catches the room's light and throws it back upward, so the wooden pieces appear to float above their own reflections. Before the first move is made, it is already doing its job.
Printworks was founded in Stockholm on a single idea: that analog objects can be as beautiful as any artwork. The Mirror set arrives in a book-shaped box printed with checkered silver foil — an echo of the board inside. It opens like an art book, sits beside art books on a shelf, and belongs there. Every product in this Swedish range is designed not to be put away; this one earns that philosophy more than most.
For Dubai's design-conscious homes — the curated shelf, the villa living room where every object earns its place — this is the piece people notice first. A meaningful housewarming gift, a milestone birthday statement, or a centrepiece for game nights worth remembering. Swedish craftsmanship and Scandinavian restraint, made for the Gulf's appetite for objects that are genuinely beautiful.

Care & Use
Crystal-clear acrylic is lightweight and shatter-resistant, giving these game pieces a polished synthetic-crystal look. It is happiest at room temperature; direct heat or prolonged strong sunlight can cloud, warp or dull the surface.
Care: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent if needed, then rinse the cloth and pat dry; clean promptly after coffee, tea, dairy or alcohol spills.
Avoid: Direct heat and prolonged sun; abrasive pads, steel wool, bleach, benzene and strong solvents; alcohol or aniseed spills left sitting; and metal edges or knife contact that can scratch.
Suitable for: Coffee tables, game nights, shelves and relaxed hosting.
More from This Collection
Printworks
Printworks was founded in Stockholm in 2017 by two former advertising creatives as a coffee-table concept: beautifully designed analogue objects answering digital fatigue. Chess and backgammon in book-box formats, cloth-bound photo albums, cocktail and wine tool kits, colour pencils and scented candles all share the same Scandinavian warmth.
