Care & Use
Fine porcelain with a durable vitrified body and a hard, glazed, food-safe surface that resists staining and odour. Plain undecorated porcelain tolerates everyday use and the microwave, but any gold, platinum or metallic detail must never be microwaved; porcelain is not for the oven or freezer and can crack under sudden thermal shock.
Care: Hand-wash pieces with gold, platinum, metallic or hand-painted detail in warm water with mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry immediately; plain undecorated pieces may be washed by hand or on a gentle top-rack dishwasher cycle.
Avoid: Microwaving metallic decoration; sudden moves between hot and cold; knocks and drops; abrasive pads, steel wool, scouring powders, undiluted bleach and prolonged contact with acidic or strongly coloured foods.
