The second of three distinctly numbered pieces in Seletti's Kintsugi collection, this soup plate carries its own unrepeatable gold-vein map — different from Soup Plate Three, different from anything else on the table. Three numbers, three fault-line topographies, one shared philosophy.
Kintsugi is the Japanese tradition of repairing broken pottery with gold, so the mended seam becomes the most precious part of the object. Seletti's reading is conceptual: nothing here was ever cracked. The 24kt gold lines tracing across white porcelain are an imagined history of repair — beauty through imperfection rendered visible and permanent. As the form deepens into its bowl profile, the fault lines descend the inner walls, charging every surface the ladle touches.
In Dubai's design-led dining rooms and boutique hospitality interiors, the Kintsugi Soup Plate Two holds its own as both a functional piece and a gallery statement. Pair with Soup Plate Three to bring two distinct gold-vein readings to the same table, or build the full Kintsugi service outward from there.

Fine porcelain tableware with a hard, glazed, food-safe surface, finished with 24 kt gold seams. Porcelain resists staining and odour but can chip on impact and crack under sudden thermal shock; because these pieces have metallic detailing, they are not microwave-safe, oven-safe or freezer-safe.
Care: Hand-wash with warm water, mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry immediately; rinse promptly after acidic or strongly coloured foods.
Avoid: The microwave, where gold trim can spark and craze; the oven and freezer; sudden hot-cold temperature changes; abrasive pads, steel wool, scouring powders, undiluted bleach, knocks and drops.
Suitable for: Formal dining, tea and coffee service, plated starters, desserts and considered table settings.
Created by Marcantonio for Seletti, this collection borrows the philosophy of kintsugi with a twist: nothing here was ever broken. Seams of 24-karat gold trace imagined cracks across white porcelain bowls and clear glass tumblers, each numbered piece — One, Two, Three — carrying its own vein pattern, so no two are alike.
