Description

A midi rectangular tray in fine Italian porcelain, this Portofino piece from Baci Milano brings the spirit of the Ligurian Riviera directly to the table — conceived at Casa Baci in Milan with the elegance and ease of the Italian coast in mind.

The Portofino collection is built on a single, radiant conceit: precious jewels, pearl strings, and ornamental clasps dissolve — across the very same motif — into corals, fish, and shells. On a rectangular tray, this transformation has room to breathe, the ornamental detail spreading unhurried across the surface. Sophisticated and jewel-like, it carries the warmth of a long Riviera afternoon.

In Dubai, where the art of generous hosting calls for objects that earn their place beyond the gathering itself, this porcelain tray moves easily from a villa terrace arrangement to a yacht service setting or an indoor console display — as beautiful at rest as it is in use.

Care & Use

Durable vitrified porcelain with a hard, glazed, food-safe surface that resists staining and odour. Plain undecorated pieces tolerate everyday use and the microwave, while any 24 kt gold, platinum or metallic detailing must never be microwaved; porcelain is not for the oven or freezer and can crack under sudden thermal shock.

Care: Hand-wash gold, platinum, metallic or hand-painted pieces in warm water with mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry immediately; plain undecorated pieces may be washed by hand or on a gentle/top-rack dishwasher cycle.

Avoid: Microwaving metallic decoration; sudden hot-to-cold temperature changes; the oven and freezer; abrasive pads, steel wool, scouring powders, undiluted bleach, knocks and drops.

Suitable for: Formal dining, tea and coffee service, plated courses, desserts and considered table settings.

Portofino

Portofino captures the Ligurian Riviera at its most glamorous: pearls, chains and precious ornaments that dissolve, mid-pattern, into corals, fish and shells. The jeweller-turned-marine motif flows across porcelain, premium melamine, antistain cotton and velvet cushions in coral red, Mediterranean blue and ivory — one print, four materials, endlessly combinable.
