Four bread plates arrive together, ready to frame rolls, antipasti, petits fours, or shared tasting plates with a quiet graphic rhythm. The Sakura Wallpaper set by Weissestal turns Italian porcelain into a designed surface, pairing Andrea Castrignano tableware with a delicate Japanese-inspired motif.
Sakura is the storytelling centre of the Wallpaper collection: a robin moves through blossoming cherry branches on a Balena-blue ground, a reference to cherry-blossom symbolism, fleeting beauty, and good fortune. The decoration comes from Castrignano's own drawings, translated as a screen-printed underglaze decal and fired at 1160 degrees so the pattern becomes part of the glazed porcelain surface.
Used as designer bread plates, the set adds pattern without crowding the table. It can sit beside plain white porcelain, echo the muted tones of Loop, or alternate with other Wallpaper patterns for hosted dinners where every place setting feels considered.
