Sophie Blu Lamp - Charlottina

A square platform in transparent black resin opens this Sophie lamp, quiet as shadow until light finds it. Above it sits a large sphere in the same transparent black, a rounded weight that holds the eye before the column shifts direction. Instead of another hard edge, it tapers into a resin drop in topaz — warm, amber-gold — curving where the sphere was round, the detail that gives this silhouette its softness.

A medium faceted cube in violet follows, corners cut away and set on point so it catches light on angled faces rather than flat sides, before a full-size cotton shade in blue closes the column.

Each piece here is a separate hand-cast resin module, strung along a central rod — a system that can be reordered or rebuilt rather than moulded as one fixed object. Off, it stands as sculpture on a console or bedside table; lit, the black anchors, the topaz warms, and the violet cube throws faceted colour beneath it. Cast in a Roman family workshop, it suits a majlis corner or an entrance console — a considered piece for design-led gifting or a new home.
