The Versailles Teapot is the ceremonial centrepiece of Baci Milano's most continental collection — fine Italian porcelain dressed in the iconic Toile de Jouy scenic print, framed by the collection's gilded ornamental border.
Baci Milano drew on the classical print tradition of Jouy-en-Josas, where French artisans first pressed pastoral courtship scenes onto cloth for the salons of the Bourbon court. Figures, garden parterres, and ornamental scrollwork arrange themselves across the porcelain surface — a small stage for the collection's world of joy, romance and adventure. For a teapot, that theatrical quality is entirely apt: this is a piece designed to be placed, admired, and poured from with ceremony.
