The Lotus Shape Plate from Avant Guard's Luna sub-range turns a familiar silhouette into a gastronomic statement — its petal-like, ruffled rim frames every presentation with quiet architectural precision. Designed at Casa Baci in Milan, it belongs to Baci Milano's dedicated HORECA melamine line, built for restaurants, yachts, and demanding outdoor service environments.
Luna takes its cue from the surface of the moon: fluid, concentric ripples that catch light and throw shadow across a surface that is otherwise purely, deliberately white. The Lotus Shape adds a botanical counterpoint to this geometric language — the plate's scalloped perimeter echoes a lotus in full bloom, making it one of the most distinctive serving pieces in the range. Food becomes the colour; the plate becomes the sculpture.
