A fine gold rim traces the clean Shiro silhouette, giving this soup plate its quiet formality before the first course is served. Made in Italian porcelain for Weissestal’s Vintage Gold collection, it pairs a pure white surface with a precise metallic edge.
Shiro is the most minimal of the three Vintage Gold families: its name nods to white, and its restraint lets the gold accent carry the decoration. The result is white and gold dinnerware with a contemporary profile, suited to a formal dinner service that can be built piece by piece across plates, bowls, serving pieces, and the tea table.
Use it for soups, broths, risotto-style starters, or plated courses where the rim frames the food without overwhelming it. As part of a gold rim dinner set, the Shiro soup plate also makes a thoughtful addition to a wedding gift dinner set or a household service assembled over time.

Care: Hand wash in warm water with a mild soap and a soft sponge. Rinse and dry straight away with a soft cloth, taking particular care over the gold rims, and wash soon after use rather than leaving food to dry on the glaze.
Avoid: The dishwasher, microwave, oven and tumble dryer; sudden temperature changes such as boiling liquid poured into a cold teapot or cup; abrasive pads, scouring powders and bleach, which scratch the glaze and wear the hand-applied gold; and knocks or unprotected stacking, which chip rims.
Suitable for: Formal dining, tea and coffee service, and hosting or gifting.
