Against a pale shelf or a dark console, the Horse's Head Mini in black crystal and gold commands the surface without demanding attention — a compact sculpture that operates on drama alone. The black crystal concentrates shadow and depth; the gold accents catch a passing lamp or a slant of afternoon sun, flaring briefly before settling back into restraint.
Duccio Di Segna's Earth Animals pieces each begin as a master glassmaker's personal interpretation of form, not a reproduction of anatomy. This horse reads as an architectural gesture — confident proportions distilled to their essentials. The tension between the deep black crystal and the gilded finish gives it an evening quality: it suits moody, high-contrast interiors and holds its own beside metals, dark stone, and lacquered surfaces.
In Dubai's design culture, where bold decorative choices reward a discerning eye, this piece earns its place on a side table, a shelved niche, or a collector's display equally. A considered gift for those who know the difference between ornament and art.

Hand-crafted lead crystal made as display sculpture: heavy, brilliant and faceted, with variations across clear, amber, black, white and gold-finished pieces. It is sensitive to impact, hot water and harsh chemicals, so it should be kept stable, handled by the base and cleaned only by hand in lukewarm water.
Care: Dust with a soft, lint-free cloth; for deeper cleaning, hand-wash in lukewarm water with mild soap and a soft cloth, rinse clean and pat dry immediately.
Avoid: Knocks, drops and unstable edges that can chip the crystal; hot water, heat and prolonged direct sunlight that can crack or cloud it; ammonia, bleach and abrasive materials that etch the surface.
Suitable for: Console, shelf, mantel or formal indoor table display.
Earth Animals renders terrestrial grace in Tuscan lead crystal: horses' heads in amber, white-and-gold or black-and-gold, alongside swans, elephants and the Arabian Oryx in champagne tones. Each figure is shaped by hand at 1150°C, its colour fused into the crystal rather than applied — so no two pieces are ever identical.
Duccio di Segna is a Tuscan brand renowned for its exquisite crystal creations. Since 1984, the company has combined traditional Italian glassmaking techniques with contemporary design, producing hand-blown, meticulously finished vases, sculptures, and decorative objects. Each piece reflects refined craftsmanship, timeless elegance, and a dedication to turning everyday décor into luxurious works of art.
