Sofronia exists only in Marco Polo's imagination — and on your table. The Sofronia Soup Plate is part of Seletti's Hybrid collection, designed by CTRLZAK Studio: a deliberate collision of Eastern and Western ceramic traditions split along a single, colour-charged line across fine bone porcelain.
Calvino's Sofronia is a city of two halves that can never quite agree on which is real. CTRLZAK turns that tension into a soup plate — chinoiserie peonies and willow-pattern blues face off against heraldic cartouches and baroque ornament, separated by a dividing seam that shouts louder than either side. Soup pooling in the bowl deepens the provocation: you eat from a border dispute.
In Dubai's villa dining rooms and private majlis settings, a Hybrid table does what matching service sets cannot — it starts conversations, not just meals. One soup plate, one city, one argument that ends with an empty bowl.
Pair with Hybrid dinner and dessert plates from other named cities. No two should match. That is the point.

Care & Use
Fine porcelain tableware with a durable vitrified body and hard, glazed, food-safe surface. It resists staining and odour, but can chip on impact or crack under sudden thermal shock; plain undecorated porcelain is microwave-safe, while any gold, platinum or metallic detailing must never be microwaved, and porcelain is not for the oven or freezer.
Care: Hand-wash decorated pieces in warm water with mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry immediately; wash promptly after acidic or strongly coloured foods.
Avoid: Microwave use on metallic detailing; the oven and freezer; sudden hot-cold changes; abrasive pads, steel wool, scouring powders, undiluted bleach, knocks and drops.
Suitable for: Formal dining, everyday table settings, tea and coffee service, plated starters and desserts.

Hybrid
HYBRID stages a collision of worlds on fine bone porcelain. Created by Seletti with CTRLZAK studio, each piece splits down a bold coloured line: Eastern chinoiserie — peonies, dragons, willow trees — on one side, European heraldic ornament on the other.
