Product Details
Step into the whimsical world of illustrator Redmer Hoekstra with this Delft blue wall plate created exclusively for Heinen Delfts Blauw. A surreal fish with Delft blue gills, stranded on dry land, carries two bunnies in Delft blue cups aboard a fragile little wheel — a scene that is at once humorous, philosophical, and endlessly intriguing.
Redmer Hoekstra's dreamy illustrations bring surreal animals marching, swimming and rolling into the world of Dutch Delft blue. The physical discomfort of the fish is a recurring theme in his work — a source of wit that invites you to discover new details every time you look.
Display one plate as a statement piece, or combine the full Redmer Hoekstra collection for a wall filled with humour and surprise.

Care & Use
Decorative glazed ceramic finished for display rather than food service, carrying the hand-painted Delft blue character of the collection. Handle it as a display object: the glaze is sound but chips under knocks and drops, and it can mark or fade with prolonged moisture or sun.
Care: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth; when needed, wipe with a barely damp cloth and mild soap, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. Clean by hand only.
Avoid: Knocks and drops, which chip the glaze; abrasive cleaners and pads, which scratch it; prolonged moisture and direct sunlight, which mark the surface and fade the colour; and the dishwasher, where mechanical washing can dull the finish.
Suitable for: Wall display or shelf, console, sideboard and mantel styling, and gifting.
