Woven cotton textile, often finished to help everyday food and wine spills lift more easily. It is laundered as fabric: machine-wash at 30°C maximum, line-dry or lay flat, and iron at medium temperature while slightly damp.
Care: Machine-wash on a gentle cycle with mild, non-bleach detergent, keeping similar colours together; treat spills promptly before they set.
Avoid: Bleach, which strips the finish and colour; high-heat tumble-drying and dry-cleaning solvents, which weaken the weave; and leaving food or wine stains to dry in.
