The Midi Horse Head translates the Optical collection's chess-piece language into a mid-scale polyresin sculpture — sized to work as a vignette accent alongside a larger anchor piece, or to hold its own on a desk or console.

Designed at Casa Baci in Milan, Optical applies a rigorous geometric grid to one of chess's most recognisable silhouettes. On a flat surface, op-art patterns behave predictably. On the curved planes of a horse head, the black-and-white geometry bends, shifts, and reads differently from every angle — producing something closer to Bridget Riley than a chessboard. The effect rewards closer attention, revealing new depth each time.

For Dubai's design-forward homes and executive offices, the Midi finds its natural role as the linking piece: bold enough to command space, scaled right to place in multiples. Pair two in contrasting finishes as a chess-piece dialogue, or build a three-tier composition with the Magnum and Mini — the Midi as the piece that gives the whole arrangement its rhythm.

Care & Use

Mixed decorative materials combine elements such as resin, glass, metal, wood, cloth, paper or board, each reacting differently to moisture and heat. Handle gently and keep dry, as joins between materials can be a structural weak point and direct sun or temperature extremes may warp or discolour the finish.

Care: Dust with a soft, dry cloth; wipe with a barely damp cloth only when needed, then dry immediately. Keep handling to a minimum and lift larger pieces securely from the base.

Avoid: Damp, standing water and heavy handling; abrasive tools, bleach, alcohol and strong solvents; direct sunlight, high heat and temperature extremes.

Suitable for: Console, shelf, sideboard, mantel, desk or bookcase display.
