Vivid blue shards are fused into an ivory crystal base using Stories of Italy's Nougat technique: heated and pressed into the molten glass while still on the master glassmaker's pipe in Murano, not painted on after.

Blue is where the Nougat process makes its clearest argument. No gradient, no blending — just saturated shards distributed by heat and gravity as the vase takes shape. The quadrangular Bucket silhouette holds the colour undistracted. Each piece leaves the furnace differently; the exact spread and density of blue is unrepeatable.
