Mia Giallo Lamp - Charlottina

Mia Giallo is Charlottina Design's flagship modular lamp, built low and heavy on purpose: a square base and broad sphere anchor the column in solid black resin before colour takes over. It's the Mia argument: weight first, geometry after.

Above the sphere, a large faceted cube in Topazio — a warm amber-gold resin — is set on point, so it reads as a cut stone rather than a plain block. A smaller cube follows in Giallo, and a full-size cotton shade in the same sun-bright yellow closes the column, softening what the resin keeps sharp below. Every module was hand-cast in a Roman family workshop, and the base still carries the maker's signature.

Swap the shade or reorder the cubes and this becomes a different lamp — that's the real proposition, not the colour. On a console or entrance table it holds its corner as sculpture switched off, then sends topaz and yellow light down the column at dusk, the kind of detail a majlis corner rewards. It works just as well as a design-led housewarming gift.
